In a swift motion, Ospreywing lurched forward and licked Sandstar's cheek. Shifting away, she averted her gaze from Sandstar.

Ospreywing looked back to him with a puzzled gaze. "Do you even know what that means? I guess I'm going to have to tell you directly." Leaning forward, she murmured in Sandstar's ear, "I miss you, and I'm sorry for what I said." She backed away and purred briefly before shifting away from him, in the direction that Runestone went.

Sandstar got to his den and layed down keeping his eyes open so he doesn't fall asleep.

IN DREAM; RUNESTONE
Jynx stalked around Runestone, taking in his blue eyes and gray fur.
"There's a prophecy, you know that, right?"
Confused and frightened Runestone shook his head violently and kept his eyes trained on Jynx.
"I was going to have an apprentice named Runepaw. But I was killed. You look just like him. And I found out his name was Runestone when he got it," meowed Jynx.
Runestone just watched.
"What about her make you crazy?" asked Jynx suddenly.
A moment of silence followed the inquiry. Then Runestone meowed, "The way she moves. The way she meows. Everything she does is majestic, and she's really caring and kind. She's the prettiest she-cat I've even seen."
"Psh, see Spacialstar and that'll change."
"In your dreams."
"I don't dream."
Runestone recoiled, puzzled, and then sighed. "I guess you're right. But Ospreywing's mine, and Sandstar wants to take her away."
"Blindinglove was like that to me. You aren't alone."
"Who was that?"
"A she-cat I was crazy about when I was first alive." |
